Refunds and withdrawals

Eligibility

A refund is available where we cancel a room, where a consumer withdraws within the statutory window described below, or where we agree in writing that we cannot teach the work (for example the only tutor is ill and no substitute can be named). Change of mind after a live seminar has begun is handled as a partial refund or a credit, not as a full return, except where statute says otherwise.

Consumer withdrawal timeframe

If you book as a consumer in the United Kingdom, you may withdraw within 14 days of the booking being accepted, unless the room has already started with your agreement to begin during that period. If you ask us to start during the 14 days, you may still withdraw but we may deduct a reasonable amount for the seminars and critiques already delivered.

Full and partial refunds

Full refund: we cancel before week one; or you withdraw as a consumer inside 14 days and no teaching has been delivered. Partial refund: you withdraw after week one of a multi-week room. We keep fees for weeks already opened (a week is opened when its seminar date has passed or its recording has been issued) and return the rest, minus a £40 administration amount on business bookings. Signal Architecture after week four is credited to a later room rather than returned in cash, unless we cancelled.

Non-refundable items

Signal Desk library access, once the login has been used. Travel we booked at your request for an Observatory visit. Printed materials already posted. VAT already remitted that we cannot reclaim — we will say so on the credit note.

How to ask

Write to info@terminal-syncpoint.digital with the invoice number and whether you want a bank return or a credit to a later room. You may also telephone 079 5558 9821. Put “Refund” in the subject line. We confirm receipt within two working days.

Process and timing

We review the booking, attendance, and any consumer-right clock. Approved cash refunds are sent to the original payer’s account within 14 days of our approval, usually sooner. We do not refund to a different person without a paper instruction from the payer. Credits stay valid for 18 months.

Method

Bank transfer in pounds sterling to the account that paid the invoice. We do not refund onto a card we never charged, because this site never charged one.

Cancellation by us

If we cannot run a room we will offer a later date or a full refund of fees paid for that room. We are not responsible for your hotels or flights unless we booked them as part of Observatory travel.

Exceptions

We may refuse a cash refund where materials were copied in breach of the terms, or where the enquiry was made under a false name to harvest templates. Observatory retainers follow the statement of work: unused days after the retained period are not automatically cashed out.
